Modime does not collect any data. Files are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded. We do not use cookies, analytics, or third-party tracking.
How to verify
Open your browser’s developer tools and switch to the Network tab. Drop a file into one of the
converter pages. You will see zero requests during conversion. The only network activity is the initial
page load, which fetches the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the WebAssembly decoder — all served from
modime.app.
Once the page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet entirely and the converter will continue to work. This is a useful proof: if the tool still runs offline, then by definition nothing is being uploaded.
